Montgomery City Public Library

Attendance: President Patti Pazdera, Vice President Theo Tate, Secretary Angel Davis, Library Director Gaylee Harris, Members Jamie Bukovac, Jenny Cox, Mark Clements, Pat Garrett, and Molly Taylor.

The Montgomery City Public Library Board of Trustees meeting was called to order at 7:01 p.m., September 11 by President Patti Pazdera. The agenda was approved. The consent agenda was approved.

Patti Pazdera reviewed the meeting norms for Board Training.

Gaylee Harris presented the Library Director’s report.

There were no Communications from Board Members.

Angel Davis presented the Technology Committee report. Angel Davis moved on behalf of the Technology Committee to surplus outdated technology and allow it to be sold to the public. The motion was seconded and approved.

The Grant Committee set a meeting for September 16 at 1:30 pm.

Anna Powell presented the Friends of the Library report. The Friends will be hosting a book sale on December 14, with setup on December 13.

In Unfinished Business, Gaylee Harris reported the MCR-II High School Librarian withdrew her request to the library.

In New Business Gaylee Harris reported the water heater was broken, a new one was purchased and would be billed to the corporation.

The Local Reading Council donated $5,000 to the library to use at our discretion. Possible uses for the money was discussed.

The 100th Anniversary of the MCLP will be in May 2027. Possible activities were discussed. Theo Tate, Jenny Cox, Jamie Bukovac, and Angel Davis will serve on the 100th Anniversary Committee to help plan events.

There were no Patron Comments.

There was no Executive Session.

Pat Garrett moved to adjourn the regular meeting at 7:43 p.m.
